Human Resources Generalist

Adecco is recruiting for an Human Resources Generalist. The purpose of this position is to provide a steady HR presence within both plants and provide professionalism within the area of Human Resources.  Also provides counseling and mentoring to Operations, Logistics, Sales and Administration. This position is responsible for recruitment and retention, benefits, safety orientation and training, interpretation of policies and procedures, investigates employee concerns and ensures consistency throughout the employment of the team members.

Responsibilities

  1. Coordinates and manages the recruiting process for applicants for positions within the company using standardized hiring practices.
  2. Performs on-boarding of all new team members including benefits education, hire and safety orientations ensuring new employees are properly educated before beginning on the job training.
  3. Consults with supervisors, management team, and team members on employee relations issues and concerns using proper interview and documentation methods ultimately minimizing the company’s legal exposure.
  4. Serves as point person within the organization for all workers compensation issues, including processing first reports of injuries, communicating with workers compensation carrier to ensure swift payment and processing of claims, and
  5. Advises management of policy and procedure interpretations and employment law requirements. 
  6. Assists in determining disciplinary process when necessary.
  7. Point Person for all compensation and benefits related questions. 
  8. Maintain and update all HR databases within organization including benefits database, training logs, and personnel files.
  9. Creates, implements and oversees safety program to create a safe work environment and to decrease workers compensation incidents along with training programs for all employees.
  10. Represents organization in employee related legal matters when necessary.
  11. All other duties as assigned.

Specifications/Requirements

  1. Bilingual in Spanish and English is strongly preferred.
  2. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
  3. Three to Five years of experience in HR Generalist capacity.
  4. Strong knowledge of local, state, federal regulations, laws, etc. to assure compliance.
  5. Proficient knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office.
