Immediate Pay Coordinator Finance



Responsible for processing final pay for Non-Exempt Immediate Pay State Terminations and as needed fund final pay through 3rd party platform.  Maintain a working knowledge of local, state, and/or federal pay and termination regulations.  Under direction from the Payroll Supervisor conduct weekly and/or monthly audits and/or training of new Payroll Processors/Coordinators as needed.   Assist with projects under the supervision of Payroll Supervisor and/or Payroll Manager



  • Process Immediate State Termination pay for Non-Exempt store associates, which includes calculating and posting final pay, emailing temporary paystubs and printing final stub and mailing to associate’s home address on file.   If paying on a pay card, funding pay card on third party platform with accuracy.
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality for all employee payroll and personnel records
  • Process all daily manual off cycle checks in batches throughout the day. Work with the other coordinators to ensure that there is no overlap between processes being run. 
  • Respond to all employee inquiries in a timely and effective manner.
  • Maintain effective communications with all internal and external business partners.
  • Special projects as need.
  • Maintain and evaluate systems and procedures to ensure internal controls and to improve efficiency and timeliness
  • Remain current on new legislation and regulatory ruling(s) impacting Payroll. Enforce adherence to requirements and advise management on required action(s).
  • Assist as needed in the processing of bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls

  • Must be able to work weekends and/or Holidays (or as needed on a rotating basis).  
  • Must be able to work overtime if needed
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience (2 to 4 years of Payroll experience).
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service while working with frequent interruptions in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong organization skills, ability to set priorities.
  • Strong Word and Excel for Windows.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
