A local company is looking for an industrial electrician.The responsibilities would include the follow:
• Position will be responsible for plant maintenance, electrical systems, apparatus, electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment.
• Install main electrical power supply wiring and conduit for equipment as directed by management, including but not limited to robots, welders, motor control centers, conveyors, air handlers, mixers, presses, hydraulic components, kilns, etc.
• Connects power supply wires to machine and equipment, and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment per industry standard and electrical codes.
• Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, PLCs and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broker wired/cables.
• Calculates proper fuse/circuit breaker configuration if not provided by original equipment supplier.
• Uses PCs and other interfaces equipment to program and diagnose PLCs and electronic equipment controls.
• Diagnose and replace faulty hydraulic and pneumatic electrical components of machines and equipment controls.
• Basic metal welding skills required.
• Replace faulty electrical components of machines such as relays, switches, motors and position sensing devises.
• Replace motor bearings and rewire motors.
• Diagnose and replace faulty electronics components.
• Tests malfunctioning machinery and discusses malfunctions with other maintenance workers.
• Ensure all safety policies are followed at all times including Life Critical Safety Rules.
• Regularly inspects and evaluates electrical and electronic equipment to make sure that it operates efficiently and safely.
• Performs preventative maintenance on equipment and maintains records on equipment status and maintenance.
• Studies blueprints and schematics to establish best method of repair or replacement.
• Identifies ad determines material/electrical requirements with part numbers and equipment required.

Skill Requirements:
• May be required to pass a written test with a minimum score of 75%. (Motors, Digital Electronics, Analog Electronics, Schematics & Print Reading, Control Circuits, Power Supplies, AC/DC Theory, Power Distribution, Test Instruments, Mechanical Maintenance, Computer & PLC, Hand & Power Tools, Electrical Maintenance, Construction & Installation)
• Troubleshoot daily maintenance/electrical issues and problem solving
• Able to work safely with 480 volts.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Carry tool bag continually to work station as required.
• Ability to read blue prints
• Ability to continually climb ladders daily and work in tight situations
• Demonstrate attention to detail
• Ability to complete all electrical functions according to code
• Good mechanical aptitude
• Ability to pass written and or hands on skills screening test.
• 2 or more years relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
