The Industrial Engineer designs, develops, tests and evaluates integrated systems for managing industrial production processes, including human work factors, quality control, inventory control, logistics, and material flow, cost analysis and production coordination. This position will also develop, administer and implement companywide occupational safety programs.

Responsible for safety orientation, safety training, job site inspections and reporting.
Maintain awareness of amendments to the Occupational Health & Safety Act (OSHA) and Regulations and make recommendations for their implementation.
Ensure timely completion of accident/injury reporting to Corporate Office.
Plan, design, develop, implement and evaluate departmental occupational safety programs.
Design safety standards to conform to industry standards and federal, provincial and local regulations.
Assist in the development and implementation of new product launches
Develop or assist in the development of manufacturing process documentation (i.e Control Plan, FMEA, PFD, OIS)
Maintain manufacturing process documentation, Operator Work Instructions, Work Cycle Breakdown, Packing Instructions, Process Flow Diagrams
Maintain press and assembly equipment GAP reports
Ensure all assembly processes operate within lean manufacturing principles (Value Stream Mapping, Five S, Kanban, and poka-yoke)
Manage plant lay-out updates and assist with facility construction projects
Conduct cycle time studies for equipment run at rate. Conduct periodic cycle time studies for manufacturing inefficiencies or improvements


Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering.
Minimum of three to five years of related experience and/ or training; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Must have Computer Assisted Design (CAD) experience
Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques
Safety certification training (e.g., CRSP, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information, MSDA) is considered a strong asset.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations and workers’ compensation legislation.
