Industrial Maintenance Supervisor


Adecco Direct Placement is currently seeking candidates for a Direct Hire Maintenance Supervisor Job in Erie, PA for our heavy manufacturing client. The Maintenance Supervisor will manage the maintenance program for the production equipment and the building and grounds. They will oversee specific planned and emergency repairs and the preventative maintenance program. This job requires direct supervision of the maintenance crew to ensure that the specific projects are being completed properly and followed up on for quality assurance and proper procedures. This is a first shift position. Our client offers a base salary plus straight-time overtime and annual profit sharing that can add several thousand dollars to your annual compensation. Responsibilities for the Maintenance Supervisor Job in Erie, PA:

Maintain all plant equipment and Buildings, determine current job status and priorities; assigns proper maintenance personnel to assure timely completion of all work in accordance with production schedules.
Plan and coordinate the daily work order activities of the Maintenance Department.
Follow up and assure that repairs are completed in a timely and satisfactory manner.
Work with production management to organize and prioritize repairs and maintenance in the shop.
Work with Plant Engineering on planning and implementation of capital projects and expenditures.
Work with Plant Engineering on the annual maintenance and repairs budget
Ensure the maintenance department is operating in a safe manner and within OSHA standards.
Coordinate with outside contractors and engineers for buildings and equipment repairs and projects.
Manage the Preventive Maintenance program.
Ensure there is an adequate supply of spare parts for timely repairs of equipment.


Experience in a supervisory industrial maintenance position of 5 or more years, with experience working on heavy machinery including presses, groinders, lathes, welders, etc.
Have a working knowledge of both mechanical and electrical maintenance for both equipment and buildings.
Ability to develop and manage projects. Develop long range project plans.
Possess mechanical and mathematical aptitudes, spatial perception, depth perception, auditory and visual discrimination skills.
Strong organizational and planning skills are required.
Must be available to work overtime and on weekends when needed.
