Located in State College, PA, we are looking to add to our growing team an Industrial / Mechanical Engineer who has a strong background in CNC Machining. This position will be responsible for the evaluation and standardization of CNC and manual machining processes, working with an existing and new customer base to develop customized products and coordinating with the engineering team for solutions to complex problems in a research and development type atmosphere. This is a unique role working in an even more unique industry that is related to the healthcare industry. Responsibilities of the Industrial / Mechanical Engineer will include:

Focus on the streamlining and efficiencies of the CNC machining department including standardization of tooling and set-ups
Coordination with new and existing customers for project specific design and development
Communicating with 3-D printing houses for the creation of 3-D printed components
Research and development of new products designed to improve current processes and technologies
Define process controls and preventative maintenance programs
Development of continuous improvement programs for tooling, fixtures and set-ups on CNC equipment
Assist in defining next-generation processing solutions focusing on automated, non-contact processes


Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical or related)
Strong knowledge of CNC machining processes (set-ups, fixturing, programming, etc.)
Customer relations expertise
Continuous improvement, LEAN and/or Six Sigma experience preferred
Knowledge of working with ceramic or piezoelectric material preferred (not required)
Knowledge of 3-D printing processes
U.S. citizenship is required for this position
