Job Title: Infectious Disease Control IDC Workplace Health Specialist
Location: Spring, TX - No relocation assistance, travel expenses, or any other expenses can be offered
Estimated Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 3/15/2019 (1 year contract assignment)

Use evidence base public health knowledge, tools, and reference documents to
develop, promote, implement and monitor infectious disease prevention and control
procedures for Company’s workplaces. Diseases include among others, malaria and
vector borne diseases, gastro intestinal diseases, tuberculosis, Pandemic Flu,
HIV/AIDS. The guidance documents will have to be aligned with Company’s
Operations and Controls Integrity Management Systems and its matrix organizational
structure and processes.

Analyzes and inspects work environments and procedures to ensure adherence to regulations on safety and health.
Designs/monitors health implementation plans/programs.
Collaborates with management to institute controls and remedial measures for hazardous and potentially hazardous conditions or equipment. May conduct industrial health training, communications and education
programs. Works with moderate work direction and is skilled and knowledgeable to the
position. Example: Project Health Coordinator

• Excellent communication skills including written, verbal, listening, and presentation.
Must be proficient in MS Office.
• Health-related bachelors degree; graduate degree preferred
• Minimum 5 years in field health related advisory or regulatory positions, incorporating health related policy, procedures and standards development, system implementation and training.
• Knowledge of public health hazards including vector and tropical disease control and prevention, potable water, hygiene and sanitation systems
and subsequent management requirements.

Specific Job Requirements/Skills
1. Development, update and maintenance of Infectious Disease Control (IDC) program
tool boxes under the technical oversight of the IDC Officer
2. Design and dissemination
of IDC Educational and Training Tools
3. Health Data Collection, analysis and reporting
4. External Disease Information Surveillance for internal dissemination
5. Monitor MCCP shared mail box for assistance to affiliate and HQ contacts implementing IDC
programs or users of IDC information systems
6. Assist in other IDC program aspects, including organizing meetings or events, or writing publications in coordination with PH/IDC manager Skills and Knowledge: Knowledge is mandatory of public health program approaches with relevant computer literacy for the development, review, filing
and dissemination of technical documentation.
Excellent oral and written communication is required with interpersonal skills that enable effective team work and partnership building in diverse and multidisciplinary environment.
Organizational skills, prioritization capabilities, and ability to timely follow up on multiple tasks will be

Education/ Training:
Public Health Degree with knowledge of infectious disease control or workplace health program in large organizations.
Experience: The candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in public health program
implementation for workplaces or communities.
Programs can be related to the prevention and control of infectious diseases, health education and wellness, food safety, hygiene and sanitation.
Experience in developing technical procedures for health and conducting training in multi cultural and multidisciplinary working environment will be valuable.
