A direct hire Infrastructure Solutions Engineer job available in Boise, ID is available courtesy of Modis Engineering. As a qualified candidate will be to provide a leadership role of direction for infrastructure, systems, applications and technical integration projects. This position will require working close with IT management and business stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of projects.

Responsibilities:

Work on and complete multiple projects and deliverables with limited supervision and be able to work independently and/or in a team environment.
Manage and perform implementation of technical solutions, applications and systems. Lead infrastructure, technical system and application implementation discussions with IT specialists, contractors and vendors.
Develop integration plans using multiple vendor products and coordinate with resources.
Proactively monitor, track, follow-up and report on system vulnerabilities and alerts.
Manage monthly patching process including testing and deployment of patches to all infrastructure.
Manage entire physical and virtual server environment.
Manage storage environment including backups. Perform periodic test restores to ensure backup reliability.
Participate in change management discussions and adhere to all change management policies.
Responsible for executing infrastructure and solutions related projects per protocols.
Lead and supervise other Infrastructure staff in projects and day to day activities.
Monitor, manage and provide continuous feedback for technology strategies, standards and procedures to support effective infrastructure.
Manage all infrastructure documentation including IT system strategies, standards, procedures and protocols. Ensure it is appropriately maintained and up to date.
Co-ordinate with other IT staff in troubleshooting infrastructure related issues.
Contribute to the department Disaster Recovery planning and in the event of a disaster, participate in implementing the recovery solution plan.
Participate in on-call duties including nights, weekends, holidays. We are a 24x7x365 shop.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Effectively implement service policies and procedure to support company objectives.


Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or computer engineering.
Minimum of 8 (eight) years’ experience managing infrastructure systems preferably in IT/Technical Operations organizations in supporting enterprise infrastructure, systems and applications.
5+(five) years experience in a technical project/program management role managing end-to-end implementation and deployment.
Highly Proficient in Microsoft Server platforms, VMware, Server Load Balancing, Server Clustering, Microsoft SQL, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SharePoint, Office 365 administration, Cisco Routers, HP Procurve Switches and Veeam
Significant proficiency in Microsoft active directory administration including GPO.
Experience with NetApp storage.
Microsoft Power Shell experience is a plus
Extensive experience in managing large scale infrastructure projects implementation including servers, networks, SAN and NAS, databases, data warehousing and enterprise applications.
Extensive experience in project/program management, procurement, resource management, scheduling, planning, deployment and support.
Understand process management improvement practices, change management processes and operations services.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical and organizational skills, detail orientation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a challenging, fast-pasted, dynamic environment.
Ability to handle stress associated with the required immediate resolution of issues.
Ability to work at times outside business hours for infrastructure upgrades, outages and implementations.
Convenience Store experiences a plus, but not required.
