Adecco is assisting a local client in Irvine, CA to help source for an Inside Sales candidate. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity and the company is in the medical industry. The pay rate is $18/hour and it is a full-time position. This candidate will be responsible for promoting trade shows and exhibitions for the latest clinical and commercial developments in medicine.

The client is looking for an enthusiastic Inside Sales candidate to generate sales by calling from a list of industry professionals and answering inbound requests. You will be responsible for influencing potential attendees to register for the event.

 

To be successful in this role you must be persuasive yet friendly to build those business relationships. The ideal candidate must be patient and even-tempered. You must be able to find solutions to customer’s requirements in a quick manner to meet their needs.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Make calls to potential attendees by using a given phone directory to inform them of the event and all the great reasons why they need to attend
  • Answering incoming calls from prospective attendees, answer questions and provide information about our event and available packages
  • Signing up and taking payments using a CRM system for all successful calls that lead to attendee registration
  • Record the customer’s personal information accurately using Excel and CRM system
  • Be friendly and informed. Ask questions to understand the customer and explain how our event can meet their needs
  • Go the “extra mile” to meet registration quota and facilitate future sales
  • Keep records of calls and sales, recording all useful information

 

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; BS/BA is a plus
  • Proven experience as telemarketer or similar sales/customer service role
  • Proven track record of successfully meeting sales quotas preferably over the phone a plus
  • A team player willing to take on admin projects when needed
  • Working knowledge of relevant computer programs (i.e. CRM software and Microsoft Applications) and telephone systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in English
  • Skilled in soft negotiation and dealing with complaints
  • Persistent and results-oriented
  • Patient and able to handle customer rejection
