Adecco is looking for qualified candidates to fill the role as an Inspector at our local client, Trimble Navigation Limited.

The inspector will be reporting reporting to the Supplier Quality Engineering Manager is responsible to assist the SQE team in all aspects of incoming quality inspection to ensure that Trimble's products are manufactured and received are 100% compliant to Trimble specifications and/or industry standards where applicable.

Scope of responsibilities include:
- assisting with incoming inspection of Electronic/Electro-mechanical components and PCB.
- If required, provide technical support for inspection of custom mechanical part (i.e.) plastic and machined castings.
- Inspector is responsible to interface with Design Engineering; Supply Chain Managers, Corp. Quality, and Product Operations teams to validate components meet Trimble requirements and assist in finding root cause of failures, if required.
- Inspector may be required to participate in Supplier Quality Engineering activities with suppliers to achieve Zero Defect.

Primary Duties
- Conduct Receiving Inspection of Electro-Mechanical part/systems and First Article Inspection for incoming components and assemblies.
- Interact with Design and Product Engineers to ensure first article and process control compliance meets Trimble's design requirement and in accordance to the SQR.

Characteristics / Skills
- Hands-on experience in inspection technique using such as CMM, Optical Comparator and all varieties of inspection measuring equipment.
- Able to read and interpret geometric tolerance from engineering drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of fabrication processes and ability to measure aluminum die castings, plastic injection molded and precision machined parts
- Strong communication (verbal and written) skills and interpersonal skills with ability to successfully interact with all levels of management and other personnel at Trimble.
- Ability to learn technical information quickly and apply it to a specific product problem.
- Working knowledge of Quality control methodologies associated with gauge R&R, process capability, and statistical process control.
- Ability to interface and work with suppliers and purchasing to provide consistent product quality.
- Validate that supplier has provided supporting documentation and samples as required to complete Trimble First Article, Incoming inspection and other related quality tools that are utilized and followed by supplier's engineering and purchasing team.

Education / Experience
- ASEE, Technical School Certificate.
- Minimum 5 years experience in Quality Assurance technology.
- Preferred - experience and training in soldering & SMT processes and good understanding/certification of IPC 610D Class III standard
- Preferred - experience or training in molding, casting technology and machining.

Other Requirements
- Knowledge of Agile PDM System, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Oracle database preferred
