Instructional Designer II

Position Description

Own the instructional design and production of materials to ensure quality deliverables. Participate in the entire instructional lifecycle including designing, developing, testing, and measuring the effectiveness of training programs, and track record of delivery on objectives and impact at scale. Fluent in current and emerging adult learning theory and how it is put into practice in the corporate and field environment. Consult with Program Managers on appropriate learning solutions, conduct needs analysis and develop all support and evaluation plans. Create learning solutions for multiple delivery methods including instructor-led, hands-on, web-based, and blended instruction. Perform ongoing analysis of training programs and performance trends to ensure objectives remain at the front of the field. Manage the relationship and development of content with key cross-functional SMEs (Subject Matter Experts).

Responsibilities

 

  • Must provide portfolio with work samples.
  • Design learning solutions in a variety of formats, including elearning, job aid documents, web sites, slide decks, and instructor-led training.
  • Scope needs with stakeholders and partner with subject matter experts to gather and validate content.
  • Write scripts, create storyboards and mock-ups.
  • Record and edit video and audio to integrate in learning solutions.
  • Create content that is meaningful, concise, and engaging for audiences.
  • Skill/Experience/Education

    Mandatory- 4+ years of instructional design experience. - Experience with development tools such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate, Lectora, Storyline and Camtasia. - Ability to write concise copy and optimize text for digital learning. - Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining high quality of deliverables.

    Desired- Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience, in instructional design or learning and development. - Graphic design and media asset production: Photoshop or Illustrator. - Experience in telecom. - Information design/information architecture to organize and deliver web-based resources. - Experience using learning management systems.
