Integration Technician A needed for global manufacturing client in Fort Mill SC.  Direct Hire opportunity!

In this role you will:   

  • Define, Plan, Implement and Support the robotic and logistic automation equipment put in place in Stanley Black & Decker’s Carolinas Manufacturing Operation (CMO) facility.
  • Works efficiently and with urgency to troubleshoot, install, upgrade and design all electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic or controls on all equipment.
  • Designs and manufactures enhancements on all equipment to further efficient operation of equipment.
  • Completes specialized process control evaluations to enhance machine efficiency rates and control parameters.
  • Initiates preventative maintenance program that includes, machine repair evaluations, further control upgrades or tracking controls on repairs and frequency of repairs.
  • Have ability to Program, Integrate and Troubleshoot all robot platforms from well-known Original Equipment Manufacturers such as Yaskawa and Fanuc.
  • Conduct training for Production and Maintenance personnel once system is proven and implemented.
  • Support Engineers in vetting new technology on a technical level to understand if it is ready to deploy into the facility.
  • Optimize complex automation equipment and processes for safety, ergonomics, quality, flow, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Work closely with Automation Value Stream Leader and Automation Engineer on project timelines.
  • Oversee the operation of automation installation and start-up.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve automation issues as they arise.             
  • Operate equipment as needed.
  • Verify that work instructions and other paperwork are properly in place.
  • Understands and follows the CMO site’s EHS policy and the EHS impacts associated with their work activities.
  • Open to travel outside of U.S.

    •High School Diploma or GED Required. Associates Degree or Specialized training preferred.

    •2-3 years experience deploying stationary or mobile robotics

    •Experience in fabrication, machining and welding a plus.

    •Experience with shop floor layouts, LEAN methodologies and material replenishment.

    •Proficient computer skills required: Microsoft Word, Excel, Project along with CAD software (AutoCAD / Creo / CATIA)
