International Shipping Clerk – Meriden, CT

The International Shipping Clerk is accountable for preparing export documentation and making freight pickup arrangements. The department is made up of 3 Clerks, with the other two handling the Domestic shipping. As part of the team, the International Shipping Clerk may be involved in domestic carrier arrangements and other assignments associated with logistics as needed. The team interfaces with Customer Service and reports up to the Supply Chain Manager.

The hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm M-F.

Perform all activities related to the accurate and timely shipping of product internationally
Process Export documentation
Follow up with orders and provide confirmed shipments
Transactional SAP packing process
Transmit invoice, COO, SED and Export paperwork to carriers third party warehouses and customers
Provide customer service to clients and suppliers
Respond to internal and external requests for information regarding shipping data or issues


International shipping experience
Experience working with customs, Certificate of Origin, Shippers Export Declaration, etc.
SAP experience is a plus
Excellent communication skills – oral and written
Intermediate skill levels using MS Office Suite
