Inventory Coordinator

Adecco is currently assisting one of our clients in Chatsworth looking for an Inventory Coordinator in a garment warehouse environment. This position, which may vary depending on specific job assignment, performs random or system-generated cycle counts and quality audits of locations and key warehouse job activities performed during Inbound and Outbound operations while meeting safety, quality, productivity, attendance and behavioral expectations. Effectively and efficiently uses established procedures, tools, equipment (including material handling equipment) and technologies to complete assigned tasks.


  • Enter data for quantities of parts issued and transferred between locations, inventory and cycle count adjustments, into computer database
  • Troubleshoot quantity discrepancies with manufacturing and inspection personnel.
  • Record and monitor all items with shelf-life daily and notify appropriate personnel when material has expired.
  • Prepare monthly reports for cycle count and pick-lists count for monthly highlights.
  • Prepare and participate in physical inventory as needed.
  • Placing orders regularly (approx. 40 vendors/suppliers via online, phone, or email)
  • Confirming payments via email, phone, or via COD (check) in-person
  • Receiving all inventory supplies from those vendors on a daily basis, including incoming mail
  • Updating Supply Order Form/Inventory excel spreadsheet regularly to stay on top of stock/inventory levels
  • Keeping a close eye on projected orders and forecasting supply orders to ensure there are no stock outages
  • Sending all invoices from each purchase to Accounting as they are received
  • Following up on orders/shipments with suppliers in a timely manner to ensure deadlines/ETAs are met (via email and phone)
  • Locating/receiving invoices and sending them to Accounting
  • Following up with vendors in regard to missing invoices (via email and phone)
  • Searching for price comparisons/alternative suppliers on various needs (parts, supplies, materials, etc)
  • Consistent organization of inventory, involving regular physical labor


  • Working knowledge of inventory control practices; working knowledge of tools, supplies, equipment used in the construction and maintenance of electrical supply systems.
  • Working knowledge of computer terminal operation.
  • Considerable knowledge of equipment operating principles and procedures. Considerable knowledge of hazards and safety precautions relating to equipment operation, loading and unloading of materials.
  • Skill in operation of assigned equipment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and vendors; ability to organize items by broad and specific classifications.
  • Ability to perform minor equipment maintenance and repair; follow standard safety practice and procedures common to equipment operation work; follow written and verbal instruction; and to maintain accurate records with some knowledge of mathematical

Minimum Qualifications Required:

  • Graduation from high school and one (1) year experience in a computer-aided warehousing operation, or any equivalent combination of education and experience to include one (1) year experience in forklift operation.
  • Responds to emergency calls regarding inventory, schedule for receiving etc.
  • Ability to understand mathematical conversions and analytics
  • Must be able to obtain OSHA requires Forklift Certification within four months after date of hire.
