Inventory Manager/Automotive

Tier One Automotive Component Supplier is in need of an Inventory Manager. This position encompasses determining inventory requirements and maintaining adequate stocks and supplies. It also consists of developing and implementing state-of-the-art methods and practices to reduce requirements for storage facilities and space and to reduce associated costs.


Key Responsibilities


•Manages all inventory processes

•Maintain proper inventory levels and inventory conditions.

•Troubleshoots all inventory discrepancies using root cause analysis: negative control, closing difference, departure/arrival/receiving error.

• Designs material flow processes throughout the factory including receiving, shipping, store/depot, kitting, and distribution to production lines.

•Inventory Management

•Maintains a clear understanding of the day-to-day operations and processes of the warehouse: ERP, MRP, WMS

•Using inventory ERP system, continuously drives optimization of material storage and flow using Lean techniques and modern Materials.

•Management methods (JIT, Kanban, 5S, Marketplace, FIFO etc)

•Warehouse Management> •Performing Physical counts on items to match in the system.

•Document and enter all new items to WMS system as well as keeping the system up to date with any changes to existing items


Basic Requirements

•High school or GED equiv. in related field and comparable experience 3 + years relevant experience.

•Experience as a Quality Inspector, Level II, or equivalent work experience.

•Automotive drawing reading skills required. (GD&T)

•Work requires basic computer and data entry skills.

•Work requires willingness to work various shifts and some overtime, when required.

•Experience for measuring of XRF / CMM equipment over 1 year.
