Inventory Specialist

JOB RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to: Inventory Manager

PRIMARY PURPOSE
Responsible for assisting in the maintenance of inventory levels to ensure required stocking levels are achieved. Provides designated parts, equipment and records to Pump Builders and Remanufacturing Specialists.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Stores material in such manner as to prevent damage or deterioration.
Pulls parts from inventory to fill sales orders.
Receives parts from vendors and Remanufacturing Specialists to resupply inventory levels.
Package parts orders.
Data entry into computer system any receipt to dispatch from storage locations.
Determines or identifies non-conforming parts that will affect the fit, form or function of the final assembly.
Registers quantity of parts on scrap sheets and work orders.
Keeps work area clean and orderly.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Comply with all Fluidyne Fluid Power Employee Conduct and Work Rules; comply with all policies contained in the Employee Handbook.


QUALITY AND ENVIRONMENTAL CORE RESPONSIBILTIES AND AUTHORITY

General ISO awareness, communication and emergency preparedness.
Familiarity with company Quality and Environmental policies.
Initiate any changes in recordkeeping based upon department needs.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

High School graduate or GED.
Previous experience in manufacturing in a shipping and receiving environment preferred.
Hands on mechanical aptitude.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, safety rules and operating instructions.


Ability to calculate figures, dimensions, proportions, etc.
Ability to understand product configurations, utilize computer software with knowledge of spreadsheet and other data processing software.
Demonstrated ability to make decisions and work with minimum supervision in a team-based environment
Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills and ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner
Ability to work under stringent deadlines and excellent attention to detail



CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must be able to obtain an internal forklift and overhead crane license.




PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk, stand, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is occasionally exposed fumes and vapors and to outdoor weather conditions, extreme heat and cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
