Start Date: 10/12/2018
Duration: 10/13/2019 (12 month contract assignment)

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Previous experience (see minimums below) in draft agreement preparation, agreement database inputting and SharePoint workflows and usage is required for all candidates

IP AGREEMENTS PARALEGAL: responsibilities include:
* Preparation of first draft agreements in Microsoft Word from forms database
* Preparation of agreement redline drafts based on attorney instruction
* Proofreading of final agreement drafts to ensure proper English usage and that agreement internal paragraph references are correct
* Circulating agreements for review and execution using Microsoft SharePoint work flows
* Creation of agreement records (e.g., party names, agreement types, effective date, and PDF links) in agreement database
* Review of agreements to determine obligations placed on our client and then entering such obligations in agreements database for client use in tracking obligations * Develop and generate reports related to departmental agreement work (e.g., number and type of agreement reports and docket reports)
* Process invoices for payment approvals
* Preparation of internal and outside counsel time/cost reports from internal databases
* Extensive interaction with clients
* Daily maintenance of contract database


Research skills, legal administration skills, organization, planning, attention to detail, IP contract experience

Proficient in Microsoft Applications (Word, SharePoint and PowerPoint); Minimum 2 years experience with SharePoint
* Skilled in complex agreements database use and manipulation; Minimum 2 years experience
* Familiarity with various types of IP related contracts (e.g., confidentiality and patent and trade secret licenses); Minimum 1 year of experience
* Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment with a demanding client base
* Adaptable/efficient/work well under pressure with attention to detail
* Self-motivated; ability to work well with little supervision; demonstrates initiative
* Adaptable to changing procedures
* Ability to prioritize work while handling frequent, tight deadlines
* Good oral and written communication skills


Provides legal support to assigned attorneys or projects by conducting research, organizing files, scheduling depositions and maintaining records. Researches various states requirements for licensing and certification requirements
and prepares documents as needed. Coordinates and gathers input across multiple corporate disciplines including: Accounting, HR, Risk Management and Procurement. Maintains files/database to ensure no lapses in certifications. Supports on-going projects and monitor compliance with contract requirements/certifications. Works with moderate work direction, and can identify issues/problems but may need assistance in resolving.
