Job Title is IT Manager/ Systems Administrator




Our client is looking for a candidate that has strong business acumen in combination with hands-on technology skills.


The IT System Administrator will be responsible for overseeing the New York IT operation that includes IT Support, Network/Systems Administration and Application Development.


The main technologies being used in the environment right now are Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2012/2016, Microsoft Office 365, VMware (multiple versions), Cisco routers, RingCentral VOIP, MSSQL with SSRS/SSIS/VB/ASP and .NET/MVC for development.


The ideal candidate will have experience managing multiple projects, prioritizing activities and be willing to work hands-on within an IT Infrastructure capacity and understand how to keep symmetry between the Infrastructure and Development functions of the department.



The candidate will have to work with managed services, consultants and employees to meet the client’s objectives.


An individual in this position is required to be organized and efficient, with a high degree of common sense and initiative. The ability to communicate effectively with all employee levels is essential.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following:


• Work with multiple stakeholders to address day to day IT issues.
• Must know or worked with at least one of these applications - InfoPlus, e-Commerce, NetSuite, and Shipstation
Must be hands-on to support the integration between these systems.
• Must be able to write reports.
• Provide technical troubleshooting for applications with emphasis on root cause analysis.
• Analyze the current IT infrastructure and determine the improvements can & should be made.
• Ability to administrate of MSOffice, VMWare, Dell Firewall/SAN/Poweredge servers, Netgear switches, Meraki, and RingCentral.
• Must be able to analyze large amounts of data from multiple systems and produce consolidate reports.
• Data extraction from multiple databases for conversion purpose.





QUALIFICATIONS


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.


• 3 to 5 years of hands-on development experience in IT projects.
• 1 to 3 years of hands-on IT infrastructure - routing/switching/firewall/backups/VMWare/Active group policy.
• Working knowledge in one of the applications - InfoPlus, NetSuite, Shipstation. Experience in integration between InfoPlus and NetSuite is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience working with multiple users and teams.
• Analytical, change-management and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience communicating to senior IT and business leaders.
• Proficiency with MS Office including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio.
• Knowledge of Acumatica would be a plus. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or similar trade is preferred.
• Familiar with the concept of electronic data interchange, flat files, and ERP.



OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES



• 2+ years of Java experience is a plus.
• Ability to understand and validate data to ensure accuracy. LANGUAGE SKILLS
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to speak and understand effectively in English.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies.
