• Maintain continuity of the computer systems for all system users
• Ensure the security of the organization’s network and electronic documents
• Research software products and applicability to organizational environment
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot a wide range of software and hardware products
• Repair hardware as necessary and act as liaison with service vendors to ensure continuity of service
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in IT technology
• Maintain "on-call" availability during all clinical business hours
• After hours projects, upgrades, and maintenance as needed
• Provide technical assistance, training, and advice to non-technical users as needed
• Create, track, and fulfill trouble tickets for future reference
• Assign and maintain Active Directory users, groups, and permissions
• Reset passwords as needed/requested
• Recommend changes in software and hardware to improve computer capabilities
• Assist in implementing practices that will more effectively utilize IT resources
• Manage all software licenses, configure mail-flow rules
• Keep inventory of equipment in use and in storage; Securely and responsibly dispose of antiquated equipment
• Install/troubleshoot/repair/maintain Laser Printers, scanners, faxes, and other hardware
• Update and manage systems for blocking spam, phishing attempts, and other malicious software/programs, and reporting of same.
• Manage firewalls and VPN tunnels and remote VPN connections
• Manage backups for infrastructure servers
• Support multiple Windows servers (Physical and virtual) with various versions of Windows Server Operating Systems (i.e. 2003 – 2012)
• Configure and troubleshoot networks

• Work well in a high stress, high pressure, always on environment
• Able to research quickly and effectively
• Plan and direct the installation and maintenance of computer hardware and software
• Assess the costs and benefits of new projects and justify funding on projects
• Negotiate with vendors to get the highest level of service at the lowest possible cost for the company’s technology

• Problem solve and analyze with little to no supervision
• Strong proficiency to work with: Windows OS’s including 7, 10, and server 2003, 2008, and 2012; Sonicwall firewalls; VPN’s; Remote desktop, Virtual machines (VM Ware)
• Working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software
• Carry out Network configuration, troubleshooting, upgrades
• Resolve DNS and DHCP conflicts

Preferred Education/Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences and 4 years of experience
