POSITION: Item Processing Rep I
LOCATION: Havermill, MA
DURATION: 2 months (contract)
HOURS: Monday thru Friday Mon 7:00am-5:00pm Tues, Thurs and Fri 9:00am-2:00pm
PAY RATE: 14.50 per hour

SUMMARY OF DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Tasks are performed within well-defined and established policy and procedures and often include filing, sorting, listing, or verifying basic information. Tasks that require action outside of standard procedure are reviewed with lead or supervisory staff for approval and instructions. Processes paperwork received from other units to ensure accuracy and completeness according to procedures. Escalates inconsistencies and unusual issues to lead or supervisory staff for instruction or resolution. Submits completed work to lead or supervisory staff for review and verification. Files completed work according to well-defined, established policy and procedures. Makes routine entries into processing and tracking systems related to paperwork, deposits, and information processed.

Job responsibilities:
• Performs basic administrative tasks within standardized methods and defined procedures in support of a single unit or team within Item Processing.
• Tasks are well-defined and are performed under close supervision. Work is reviewed and audited by others.

Main Duties
• will be opening and sorting mail which is then distributed to someone else to action
• dept. has goals in place, once contractor is trained will need to be completing 1 tray per hour which is approx.800 pieces of mail
• role is very high volumes
• will be balancing transactions based on open envelopes
• must have high attention to details/numbers
• 10 key experience
• comfortable with repetitive tasks
• open to new grads
• must be professional and friendly

MUST HAVE:
1.) Attention to detail
2.) Follow written instruction
3.) Able to perform multiple tasks at once in a fast-paced environment
4.) Strong organizational skills
5.) Able to use standard office equipment such as a copier, scanner, etc.

NICE TO HAVE:

1.) Previous admin experience in corporate env.
2.) Understanding of debits and credits - lockbox

• The ability to communicate clearly is also required.
• Basic computer literacy and proficiency in common PC applications is preferred.

EDUCATION:
Experience working with executives highly preferred.
High School Diploma or the equivalent combination of education and work experience required.
Up to 6 months financial services/office experience required.
0-2 years experience required.
