Responsibilities for this Sourcer Associate position include:

  • Work with hiring managers and other recruiters in Technical Infrastructure and Google Cloud organizations to understand the ongoing projects and talent needs. 
  • Identify, engage and advise on talent with a focus on creating a great experience. 
  • Sourcing passive talent with an emphasis on candidates from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds to increase our pipeline and outreach efforts. 
  • Effectively communicate the nuances of our hiring process, our technologies, and the technical demands of our Operations and Engineering positions. 
  • Solve problems and produce solutions by collecting and analyzing data, identifying alternatives when circumstances change, and seeking out ways to improve the business beyond your stated responsibilities. 

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience. 
  • 2+ years of experience in staffing at a search firm, recruitment agency, or in-house talent team. 
  • Proven ability to source and recruit candidates from a wide-range of backgrounds and identifying technical talent in hard-to-find places 
  • Experience in the technology industry recruiting software engineers, program managers, and other technical roles 
  • Passion for sourcing and recruiting passive talent from diverse backgrounds and using creative outreach/engagement to find candidates the best fit within Google 
  • Distinctive research, problem solving and analytical skills, combined with strong business acumen. 
  • Experience in working towards strategic staffing demands goals. 
  • Understanding of technical skill sets and the tools required to find them (e.g. Boolean search techniques, applicant tracking systems, etc.).
