Junior Product Photographer

Adecco Creative is assisting our client, a national retailer, in their search for a Junior Product Photographer for a long-term photography project. This is a full time freelance role, working 40 hours per week onsite (Mondays through Fridays) in the client’s Monroe, NJ studio, and paying $23 per hour. The project will begin in the first week of January 2019 and is expected to last for up to 18 months with the possibility of being extended. Benefits, including health insurance, are available via Adecco.

Qualified candidates must have a portfolio of relevant product photography work available for review, as well as reliable transportation available.

The Junior Photographer will work in-studio to capture high-quality/high volume print ready Product Photography within agreed SLAs. The role requires strong knowledge of product photography and studio lighting to ensure that the company’s high standards are maintained. An ability to work across functions may also be required at peak times in the business to maintain maximum efficiency of the operation.
 
The ideal candidate should have a good level of photographic knowledge and training, this should be degree-level or professional experience. Experience of product photography and studio experience is essential. Some office experience would be advantageous as the role requires regular communication via email and usage of Microsoft Office programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining consistency across a range of products in terms of color and lighting
  • Ensuring quality of images captured while working to a high volume.
  • Understanding product and packaging photography lighting and rig-types and adjusting accordingly dependent on the type of product being shot.
  • Processing images and ensuring correct metadata is embedded.
  • Prioritizing shooting according to SLA and Internal Service KPI’s.
  • Assisting with the workflow and product volumes.
  • Taking responsibility for and resolving photography queries.
  • Shooting Urgent and Rejected day-to-day products within required KPI’s.
  • Understanding the role of the key photographic services offered by the business and their primary usages by the client.
  • Working flexibly within the Imaging Department, transferring knowledge and skills to other processes as and when needed
  • Identifying and escalating problems with Studio processes and suggesting solutions.
  • Being responsible for the maintenance of equipment and rigs used.
  • Working flexibly within the studio operation, helping across functions if needed to maintain productivity.
