A Junior Project Manager job in San Leandro,CA is available courtesy of Modis, Inc. In this role you will be working for a leading energy company. This position is reporting to the Director of Project Management & Technical Service, and will be responsible for scheduling and executing contract based orders of products.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

Perform detailed contract review of new projects
Creating detailed projects based on order milestones and deliverables
Execution of projects
Developing a pattern of close communication with customers throughout project
Interfacing with departments to plan, organize, and direct activities required for shipping products and meeting deliverables
Coordinating kick-off meetings for new projects
Following-up with key items in manufacturing, engineering, and accounting stages of projects
Creating shipment document packet (material certificates, performance test sheets, compliance certificates, etc.) for customer submittal
Troubleshooting internal and external customer issues, including credit, duplicate orders, emergency requests, etc.
Assisting accounting with customer account maintenance
Develop and maintain an up-to-date project dashboard, covering all aspects of the project, identifying the critical path and clearly identifying areas where remedial action is required
Work cross-functionally across Manufacturing, Engineering, Accounting, and R+D, to ensure that all project activities are on track
Report on project plans, progress and prognosis
Other duties & projects as assigned


Skills & Requirements:

BA/BS Degree or 1-3 years’ experience in order fulfillment/project management field
Project management experience preferred, with exposure to Microsoft project or equivalent.
Must be reliable, self-directed and capable of working independently, with the ability to work on numerous projects simultaneously and use sound judgment in prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
Proactive, team-oriented person who can anticipate needs, take initiative with excellent follow-through and requires minimal direction or supervision.
Hands-on experience cross-functioning & collaborating with Engineering/R&D, Manufacturing and other departments.
Must be organized and detailed, as well as process-oriented with the ability to work under deadlines and time constraints.
