Lab Technician III

A Lab Technician III job in the City of Industry, CA is available through Adecco Medical and Science. The main function of the lab technician is to conduct chemical and physical laboratory tests to assist scientists in making qualitative and quantitative analyses of solids, liquids, and gaseous materials. A typical chemical technician is either a research technician that works in an experimental lab or a process control technician who works in a manufacturing setting. The research technician works on research and development and collects samples or produces compounds. The process control technician focuses on quality assurance and production processes.
Lab Technician III responsibilities include:

This position is responsible for all steps of the analysis involving sample prep, instrument control, and data processing.
This position conducts testing of raw materials, intermediate chemicals, and finished products associated with plant operations. The position may entail testing of non-production samples from the plant (waste water analysis, for example).
This position also entails calculating material additions to batches based on test results and assisting in batch troubleshooting activities as required.
The QC Technician may also be asked to run tests on special samples at the request of QC management, such as lab-prepared samples and evaluation of customer complaint samples.
The candidate must be able to multi-task sample sets on a variety of instruments with different completion deadlines.
Review completed records and release products for shipping.
Be the voice of Quality when management is not available and make decisions based on factual data when approving and/or releasing finished product.
Perform quality audits.

Basic Qualifications:

Associate degree in Chemistry or related technical discipline
2-4 years of laboratory technician or closely related experience, additional education maybe substituted in part

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related technical discipline
Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Be proficient in CAS, EPIC, QC Database, Word and Excel.
Knowledge or experience with detergent chemistry, raw materials and products which are pertinent to Ecolab’s business is beneficial.
Basic understanding of GMPs and ISO processes.
TPM and Lean experience.


Associate degree in applied science or related field required. Bachelor's degree in chemistry or biology preferred.
