Labor Foreman

ADECCO HAS PARTNERED WITH A LEADING NATIONAL CIVIL ENGINEERING CLIENT FOR A LABORER FOREMAN TO JOIN THEIR TEAM IN THE LABELLE, FLORIDA AREA.

This is a DIRECT HIRE opportunity with considerable visibility in a highly anticipated hydro excavation and improvement project.

THE FOREMAN under the direction of the Superintendent & Project Manager of the project, carries out assignments related carpentry work for the project.

THE FOREMAN will provide overall on-site leadership and direction ensure that daily tasks are completed for the framing of all concrete activities.

THE FOREMAN follows project blue prints, specifications, and work schedules, in order to meet production goals ensuring the crew follows all health, safety, and environmental requirements for project completion.

SALARY RANGE $20.00-$32.00/HOUR + BENEFITS

SALARY WILL CORRESPOND TO EXPERIENCE AS IDENTIFIED BY THE COMPANY.

THE FOREMAN responsibilities will include:

  • Operating as a Working Foreman performing a variety of job site tasks alongside the carpenters and laborers
  • Ensure the safety of the crew, equipment and client visitors to the work site by complying with company policies and procedures as well as OSHA safety standards
  • Schedule crews daily and weekly tasks related to the project
  • Ensuring materials and equipment are available on the job site for the completion of all tasks to the project schedule
  • Read a tape measure, blueprints, and construction/engineering notes
  • Plans, coordinates, assigns and participates in setting of framing for all forms on the construction site – footing, slabs, anchors, deck, walls, and columns.
  • Work in inclement weather – extreme heat or cold – loud noise, dust, or mud from a construction site
  • Effectively and safely lead a crew by communicating clearly in English with all team members the company safety, quality and timeline objectives for the project

Qualifications and experiences FOREMAN will bring to the project

  • At least 4 years in heavy civil, roadway, concrete construction framing in the State of Florida
  • At least 2-3 years supervising construction crews
  • Knowledge and experience of structural concrete, heavy civil concrete,  pre-cast carpenter skills and heavy structural concrete application experience is required
  • Ability to work outside in the Florida climate during any season of the year
  • Must possess ability to traverse a civil construction site as you will frequently be walking, stooping, kneeling, reaching and climbing on uneven ground, ladders, and concrete
  • Ability to lift, pull, push, and carry up to 50 pounds – carrying rebar, hand tools, and small construction equipment, etc.
  • Must be able to read urban develop plans, blueprints, and engineering notes
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent education, and be considered a journeyman level civil carpenter
  • Communication in English is a must
  • OSHA 10-hour and 30-hour safety highly desired
