Laboratory Technician

Distribution Technician - Hazelwood, MO
6 - 12 month contract assignment
SHIFT HOURS: 1st shift
$16.00 / hr.

Required Competencies:

Education: High school diploma/GED required
Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills, Proficient in Microsoft office preferred, Microsoft outlook, Attention to detail.
Experience: 1-2 years lab experience in medical devices desirable, Knowledge of testing methods, Familiar with various testing procedures, and equipment is a plus. Ability to manage large projects.
Specialized Knowledge: Good documentation practices, Conversant with various laboratory equipment ex. Vibration table, compression testing, altitude chamber, environmental conditioning chambers and aging testing.

Major Responsibilities:
● Prepare test specimens and operate lab equipment
● Perform laboratory conditioning and distribution testing (Condition & Distribution of cases, drops testing, Compression testing, altitude testing, visual and sorting, labeling and receiving/shipping of cases using trackem system, etc.)
● Generate, record results in lab notebooks and report data in compliance with good documentation practices.
● Knowledgeable with measurement instruments and devices
● Close attention to detail, stringently follow lab protocols, safety standards and testing procedures.
● Work under the laboratory managers supervision
● Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. sporadically throughout the day when needed.
● Sitting or standing for long periods throughout the day.

Work Environment: Office, Lab and warehouse environment where employee would be standing, sitting and some lifting throughout the day.
