Las Vegas, NV - Clinical Assistant





Clinical Assistant/Technician opportunities are now available in Las Vegas, NV through Adecco Medical and Science.

This is a contract opportunity, with a possibility of an extension.

Position Responsibilities:
1. Responsible to greet patient and check patients in and out. Ensure demographics including insurance information are correct in IDX. Updates as necessary.
2. Confirms Primary Care Physician with patient at check in. Notifies case management staff for HPN patient without defined PCP.
3. Schedule appointments as necessary.
4. Enter charges correctly and collect appropriate payments.
5. Answer phones and take messages or route incoming calls as per company policy. Document all calls and messages appropriately according to company policy.
6. Responsible for waiting room management and implementation of efficient customer friendly processes.
7. Work with back office / front office staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
8. Communicate with clinical / clerical personnel about service issues and complaints.
9. Assist co-workers and team members with duties when requested, to include but not limited to, floating to other areas.
10. Answers phone, takes messages and routes calls appropriately. Handles patient calls accessing EMR and addressing patient concerns. Notifies patients of abnormal results with direction from provider or RN.
11. Address and complete tasks, referrals, and stats on a daily basis, and accesses Imagecast to enter radiology orders.
12. Other duties as assigned to include back office file room/call center support

Must have qualifications/experience:
Knowledge: Demonstrate knowledge of and ability to learn and apply job functions, and minimal medical terminology knowledge.
Skills: Must possess computer skills – window based applications, organizational skills, and customer service skills.
Experience: Minimum one to two years experience in a health care environment.
Other: Must be able to meet all health requirements prior to employment and periodically thereafter, as required by company policy and state regulations to verify that he/she is free from communicable disease and physically able to perform assigned duties. Must possess independent means of transportation available during work hours for job related tasks such as, but not limited to floating.


Education Requirment:
High School diploma or equivalent required. CPR certification within 30 days of hire.

Shift Start/End Time: Varied weekly evening, Weekends 10 hour shift 7-5:30pm
Dress Code: Scrubs/Business Attire.
Contract Length: June 23, 2020 to December 31, 2020, with the possibility of an extension.
