Lead Assistant Production

PURPOSE & SCOPE

 

This policy serves to advise Adecco's Client employees of their job description, under Standard Operating Procedures as it relates to assumed duties and responsibilities.  Moreover, this document acts as a supplement to the employee handbook. The policy shall be reviewed annually and updated as appropriate to meet ever changing demands from the workplace and customers.  This policy will be kept in the workplace and made accessible for employees to review.

 

GENERAL PRODUCTION FIRST ASSISTANT

Department:    General Production

Location:     Sarasota, FL 34243

 

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Prime contact person to disseminate information to within their department or shift
  2. Signing authority on production records and daily checklists
  3. Troubleshoot line problems
  4. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices and Client's Standards of Excellence
  5. Assign tasks and daily jobs to General Production Associates
  6. Organize materials for production
  7. Understand and complete daily production records
  8. Ensure finished product meets customer’s requirements and expectations
  9. Monitor and supervise line process as a working leader
  10. Proactively setup lines for production
  11. Oversee setup and breakdown of equipment and ensure equipment is working properly, including but not limited to: labeler, sealer, flow wrapper, shrink tunnel, scales, metal detectors, boxers, conveyor speeds, packing stations.
  12. Assist in training General Production Associates in job duties
  13. Responsible for maintaining work area to Company sanitation standards
  14. Operate shrink wrapper or other machine equipment as needed
  15. Discerning acceptable and unacceptable product quality
  16. Ability to follow detailed instructions of Supervision and Management
  17. Ability to work cooperatively and in harmony with other workers and the expectations of Management
  18. General Production Associate’s duties as needed
  19. Other duties as assigned
Expectations
  1. Supervise and utilize resources to ensure completion of each day’s finishing and packaging requirements. Monitor and supervise line process by actively engaging in the production line work
  2. Supervising, directing, and inspiring general production associates
  3. Responsible for line operation efficiencies including labor management to expectation
  4. Ability to proactively plan and execute following production needs
  5. Ensure all department work is completed in a safe, productive, and quality conscious way.
  6. Ability to communicate company needs and standards in English
  7. Execute machine operations and equipment for optimal efficiencies
  8. Follow company attendance, overtime, and other standard operating policies and procedures

Education and Experience

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent
  2. Able to read, write, and make simple calculations
  3. Knowledge of production floor operations
  4. Production and/or food experience preferred

Physical Requirements

  1. Bending, reaching, twisting, stooping
  2. Ability to life up to 30 pounds
  3. Ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time
  4. May have exposure to gluten, peanuts, and tree nuts
