Position Details
Position:              Human Resources Leave Specialist
Location:             Dublin OH 43017
Duration:             8+ Months
Compensation:     $18 /hour
Shift:                   9:00 AM-6:00 PM 

  • Answering calls through the HR Service Center, setting up new leave of absences and answer basic leave related questions

  • Responsible for processing Leave of Absence requests correctly, timely and legally compliant
  • Resolves client issues, concerns and inquiries through phone, fax and e-mail regarding HR processes and policies
  • Works in order to meet expected service levels and business performance goals by providing full range of customer service
  • Fully documents all cases in case management application
  • Escalates client service issues to Lead, Supervisor or Manager as necessary
  • Access point solutions to complete client inquiries and transactions
  • Proactively collaborates with employees, managers and third party clients to resolve issues as appropriate in a timely fashion
  • Develops understanding of HR Service Center operations, the Cardinal Health organization and policies
  • Provides input to HR Service Center Knowledgebase
  • Participates in scheduled and ad hoc training in order to improve policy and process acumen
  • Detail orientated to process and maintain accurate and timely documentation and recordkeeping
  • Demonstrates professional phone and listening skills to understand the needs of the customer and anticipates their needs to determine the appropriate Leave of Absence provisions 
  • Provides customers accurate information about processes, policies and benefits that may be available
  • Strives to resolve customer issues correctly, timely while maintaining a courteous and professional manner and tone at all times
  • Performs special projects and other related tasks as assigne

  • 0-4 years of experience 
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources; Certification in Human Resources preferred
