Position: Legal Assistant / Paralegal
Job Location: Dunwoody, GA
Job Duration: 6 Month Contract

Preferred: BA/BS degree or certificate from an ABA approved paralegal program.

At least 1-3 years of related experience in a corporate environment, ideally with responsibilities supporting Employment Law and compliance counsel. Must have Employment Law experience
Must be detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize to meet deadlines and adjust to workload fluctuations in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills; a commitment to professionalism, integrity, and collaboration.
Must be proactive with a high degree of initiative and organizational skills, and able to work independently with minimal direction as well as part of a team.
Must be able to work effectively in a highly confidential environment.
Ability to understand somewhat complex requirements and materials.
Must demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong computer proficiency (ability to quickly learn and master various web-based case management systems such as Counsel Link or HR Acuity; savvy in Microsoft Office – PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio)
Strong legal research skills and experience working with laws/regulations.

Lots of administrative work will be needed - Need Excel (pivot tables, vlook ups, would be nice if the contractor had macros experience as well) and PPT experience - presentations*.

Prefer employment law background (75%), 25% compliance. Restrictive covenant experience a plus. Supporting 6 attorneys. Tracking and managing information. Setting up and managing claims. Understanding litigation, Discovery work. basic admin legal secretary tasks. Basic excel reporting, and power point presentation.

-Familiarity with counsel link is a plus

-Assist with discovery on litigations
-Must be self-directed and hit the ground running
-Don't have to have paralegal certificate, but it is preferred.
