Legal & Compliance Projects Manager

Adecco is seeking professional Legal and Compliance Projects Manager/Administrator

12- month W2 Contract w/ pay rate depending upon expertise

Location: NYC, NY (but open to Colorado or Northern NJ)


This role is a non-IT Legal Compliance Project Management opportunity. IT Project Managers will not be considered.
The client needs MS Project experience and a PM Certified or IAPP or CIPP PM Certification with preference for an insurance or financial project management background. You will be managing multiple projects of 3+ each team 75% of your time. If you are a seasoned Legal/Compliance Project Manager with more than several such please read on.


Program and Project Delivery, Privacy 75%

Work with the client’s Global Chief Privacy Officer and EU Data Protection Officer to define and manage the Privacy programs and regulatory compliance projects
Lead Privacy programs by working with the necessary project managers and key stakeholders within the company to implement and ensure execution within scope, time, and resource parameters
Work closely with stakeholders to integrate privacy activities into current operating models, process and governance
Monitor progress and conduct periodic quality reviews
Prepare updates for the executive leadership team

Budget and Strategic Planning 10%

Review and provide regular updates on periodic budget reports
Develop and maintain all-function progress reporting against annual plan

Technology Processes 15%

Work with MGTI to assess existing process and tools and identify areas to improve efficiencies and reporting
Identify and propose new cost- effective technology solutions to enhance performance of the Privacy function

Education/Experience Requirements:

BA/BS - required
Master’s Degree- preferred
JD, MBA- preferred
PMP Certification - preferred
CIPP Certification – preferred
Minimum 7 years of experience with large program management and delivery
Experience leading global initiatives – including change management and communications
Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders across business, technology, and compliance in a complex, matrixed organization
Experience working with 3rd-party service providers – contracting, delivery, and ongoing support
Experience managing project managers
Experience managing budget or P & L
Experience managing and developing technological processes and systems
Strong leadership, management and interpersonal skills
Strong business analysis skills – quantitative, fact-based approach to decision making
Experience with program and project management methodologies
Experience with process design and optimization techniques
Knowledge of privacy rules and policies
Solid business acumen
Strong written and verbal communications skills – experience presenting to all levels of the organization
Understands business planning concepts
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
Strong MS Excel, Access, and PowerPoint skills
