Local CDL Driver

Drivers Responsibilities:

 

  • Practice safe driving habits.
  • Load and unload trailer with wood trusses and other construction materials. The load process is by the use of forklift and the unload process is by using a flatbed dump trailer.
  • Tie-up occasionally wood trusses and other construction materials with nylon straps for loading and delivery purposes.
  • Collect payments from customers when necessary.
  • Accurately follow routes, maps and directions.
  • Interact with customers in a professional matter.
  • Work occasional weekends (Saturdays).
  • Make occasional 320 miles radius out-of-town deliveries. Go out and return the same day.
  • Complete daily maintenance truck checks and notify manager or supervisor about any repairs and maintenances.
  • Complete documentation such as logs, mileage and order reports.
  • Keep vehicle clean and presentable.

    Driver Requirements:

     

  • A valid CDL driver’s license.
  • Driving experience using flatbeds of 53 feet of length or greater.
  • 9,000 lbs. – Sit down – Forklift experience: To load orders that driver will carry.
  • Physically able to lift and carry object up from 30 to 50 pounds.
  • Bilingual: Good verbal communication in Spanish and English.
  • Availability to work overtime and occasionally evenings and weekends.
  • Reliable and punctual with dedicated professionalism to job and duties.
