Adecco is assisting SCHOTT Gemtron in recruiting for a detail-oriented Customer Service and Logistics Manager in Vincennes, IN.  This is for a temporary opportunity lasting until June 2018. As a Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling trucks for shipments, processing international orders and many more job duties. The ideal candidate is computer literate, able to focus for long periods of time, works well under pressure and performs job duties at a quick pace. Responsibilities for this job includes:


  • Coordinates and schedules trucks for product shipment. Calculates number of skids, weight and navigate customer software.
  • Coordinates with production schedule to maintain required material inventory due to any customer requests or changes requested.
  • Clearly understands orders and order processing, both manually and electronic. Verifies purchase order request in price, revision and due date. Issues order confirmation to customers electronically.
  • Processes international orders and produces documents including. Mails documents, inspects load and labeling before shipment leaves.
  • Understands and processes sub-contracting orders and coordinates shipments.
  • Coordinate and conduct cycle counts of inventory. Maintains inventory data.
  • Processes and maintains Import Records up to date.
  • Verifies receipt of material and conducts incoming inspection on component materials used for assembly.
  • Maintains Vendor Matrix and coordinates returns.
  • Assists with vendor reviews for purchased materials.
  • Backup to the Logistics / Accounting Associate and purchases raw material.
  • Cross train and maintain proficiency as back up for jobs within the department.
  • Completes projects which affect warehousing, logistics, and customer satisfaction.




  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Strong customer service skills including Microsoft Office
  • 2 years’ experience in manufacturing preferred or Associate degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business or related field.
  • Experience working in MRP and inventory computer programs  
  • Must be able to lift and move file boxes weighing up to 40lbs
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, push, pull and squat
