logistics Coordinator

Hello we are looking for Logistics Coordinators in the Portland, OR area we have immediate openings , must have open availability !



DUTIES:

Check in with the Site Coordinator. This person is your supervisor for the duration of your deployment at this location. Follow their directions.
Attend the orientation/briefing led by the Site Coordinator. This briefing is important and will include introductions, additions to special instructions, schedule (for example transport time, meal times – if applicable, etc). This is also your opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
Familiarize yourself with the facility. This will help you provide directions to guests and assist with any cleanup or other tasks that may come up during your shift.
Maintain situational awareness. Notify the Site Coordinator of any concerns as soon as they are

discovered.

Use supportive language and posturing.
Check in on guests (this will be accomplished during meal deliveries and other times throughout the day and evening by knocking on the door and interacting with guests in the outdoor environments, remaining 6 feet away and verbally and visually checking on guests and their room environment). A detailed description of “Checking on Guests” is outlined below.
Alert the Nursing Staff and Site Coordinator if a guest states that they are not feeling well, does not respond to a check in, or appears unwell.
Wipe down/sanitize common areas and perform other general cleaning. If you see a spill, clean it up. Help out.
Notify the Site Coordinator when supplies are running low.
Help guests with their requests, be available.
Collect any receipts and give them to the Site Coordinator.
Work with other staff on duty to monitor public entries/exits, the courtyard area and other outdoor spaces where people may congregate.
Help ensure the front desk is always staffed
Monitor guests’ activities to ensure that the hotel space and guests are treated well.
Assist in de-escalating any problems that may arise, notify the Site Coordinator of any concerns as soon as they are discovered.
Support with enforcement of hotel shelter policies, such as policy that all guests will wear a mask when engaging with staff.
Work in a team environment with a can-do attitude with other hotel shelter staff and others who may come to the hotel shelter to provide assistance.
