Overview:
The Logistics Supervisor (LS) will be responsible for the organization of transportation and distribution of goods, ensuring the correct products are delivered to the desired location, both on time and within proposed budget. This position requires a working knowledge of part identification, traceability, and material handling practices. The LS will establish and maintain relationships with shipping companies, carriers, and freight brokers to produce optimal delivery options.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain an accurate inventory of materials while scheduling and tracking inbound and outgoing shipments. This includes managing transportation flow, including: carriers, drivers, modes of transportation, loads and routes.
- Evaluate and implement methods to meet necessary parameters, specifications and costs as it relates to the shipping process, routing, and/or carrier management
- Must complete bills of lading for transportation services
- Ensure receipt of materials, parts, and documentation in BaaN ERP system.
- Must be adequately trained in FOD prevention and removal requirements and be able to read and accurately interpret material certifications and supplier shipping documentation
- Negotiate rates with new and current carriers; must be able to optimize logistics spending and budget
- Manage shipping documentation process and filing system to include purchase orders, material certifications, subcontractor conformity documentation, packing sheets, bills of lading, etc.

Compentencies & Skills:
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) with minimum of 5+ years of Logistics experience required
- At least 2 years experience with direct supervision of others required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Business Management preferred
- 2 years of experience in Aerospace preferred
- Must be knowledgeable of federal regulations on domestic and international shipping documentation as well as import/export ITAR documents
- Must possess proficient skills in the Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, etc)
- Must have solid understanding of the consumer goods industry and basic business concepts
- Ability to lead a team by example and promote positivity; must be a self-starter
