Logistics/Warehouse Supervisor

We're currently hiring on behalf of our client for the job of Logistics/Warehouse in the Dallas/Ft Worth, TX area. You will be responsible for logistics support at the plant level to ensure complete, accurate, and cost efficient transport. Additionally, you will serve as key interface between Plant and Customer Care ensuring that all relative information affecting shipments to external and internal customers are properly communicated to team. You will be responsible for coordinating and supervising all operational activities on a daily basis for receiving, shipping and warehouse.

You'll be:

Leading and coordinating work for a team of warehouse associates.
Picking/staging outbound shipments in accordance with the highest possible levels of productivity.
Verify required inbound/outbound paperwork ensuring that all products are properly counted.
Ensure the efficient and safe operation of all materials handling equipment by training all employees
Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety and in accordance with OSHA standards.
Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate fashion.
Assure the integrity of the inventory and assist in conducting physical inventories
Promote a consistently positive, professional and cooperative environment
Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse
Coordinating freight for all outbound stock transfers between locations
Scheduling delivery appointments and executing daily outbound shipment
Developing location daily load plans and schedules all non-dedicated shipments with preferred carriers' guidelines
Coordinating manpower requirements with 3PL service provider and providing feedback for continuous improvement
Completing required daily reporting requirements and submitting reports to appropriate departments
Identifying added value services and industry best practices that can have a positive impact on customer and operational requirements
May provide other plants with proper training on loading trucks, staging freight, etc. This would require traveling to other locations
May participate in annual audits for other locations when needed


About you:

High School Diploma – Associates degree is preferred
Minimum of five years’ experience in warehouse and transportation environment
Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
Excellent customer service skills
MUST BE Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages, specifically Excel & Outlook
Professional business demeanor with strong communication (written and oral) and problem-solving skills
Thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, high volume work environment
Forklift certification and valid driver’s license
Excellent attendance and organization skills.
