Machine Adjuster

Adecco Search is currently recruiting qualified candidates for a night shift direct hire Production Line Technician Job in St. Clair, PA for our client, a busy manufacturer of quality products. The Production Line Machine Technician (Machine Adjuster) is responsible for producing quality product on the production machinery and making machinery adjustments between product runs. The Machine Adjuster will also complete machine set-up, troubleshooting and problem solving, a focus on quality and manufacturing processes, preventative maintenance and more. This is a great position for candidates with trade school education in Maintenance that are looking for a first job! This is a  night shift, 12-hour, rotating shift with every other weekend off. This is a union position offering a competitive wage based on experience and comprehensive benefits package.   

Responsibilities for the Machine Adjuster/Production Line Technician in Saint Clair, PA include:
 

--Changes the machine from one style and size envelope to the other styles and sizes with the least amount of downtime.

--Perform scheduled maintenance on the machines. Troubleshoots issues.

--Maintains the quality of the product being manufactured.

--Gathers necessary parts and attachments at the machine prior to the time of a machine change, where it is practical to reduce downtime. 

--Consults with management when quality is being jeopardized for machine speed.

--Ensures that the proper seal gum, back gum, window gum, or any other special gum is the correct gum for the job being manufactured.

--Keeps accurate records of repair work, changes, etc.

--Observes the machine to see if there are any visible signs of parts wearing out. If so, notes such and notifies the department supervisor.

--Performs related work as required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

--Minimum high school diploma or general education degree (GED). Vocational education in mechanics/maintenance technician is a plus!

--Qualified candidate must possess a strong mechanical background.

--Basic math and measurement skills

--Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions

--Able to troubleshoot and diagnose issues.

--Able to work 12-hour shifts, reach, stretch and stand all day.
