LIGHT INDUSTRIAL. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:Summary: Safely operate manufacturing equipment in manufacturing location. Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED required. Must have good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Must have proven experience safely operating the required equipment in a manufacturing environment. Skills and Competencies: Attention to detail, team player and problem solving skills. Knowledge of production processes, quality control and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. Ability to read and write English; ability to read and understand written work instructions. Good memorization skills. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Major Job Duties and Responsibilities: Safely operate the required equipment in a manufacturing location. Accurately maintain system transactions and paperwork that validate the processing and disposition of material though the company�?s warehouse management system. Complete records, logs, manifests, time sheets and other pertinent documentation to support the job�?s function. Maintain a safe work environment and good housekeeping by following established safety procedures. Maintain required quality and production levels. Refer issues and problems to the lead or manager for the area as necessary.

Responsibilities: - Perform hand welding operations on a wide range of metals for air dryer treatment equipment and other complex assemblies involving welding to high strength and pressure - Must be able to work from detailed drawings and schematics, must understand valves and fittings and controls to be used. - Operate all types of hand or semi-automatic electric machines and oxy-acetylene for welding - Regulate current, voltage and select proper tips, rods, and sizes for various types of welding according to individual job requirements. - Interface with other welders for part requirements. - Follow production list of materials, drawings, Bills of material and other instructions to produce quality parts by due dates. - Manipulate electrode in proper sequence and use care to lay smooth and even bead of required width (Avoid undercutting of metal). - Use hand or power tools to clean beads after welding - Detect unusual conditions or defective material - Ability to perform own fit up and layout. - Involvement in team meetings, 5S activities, and kaizen / continuous improvement activities. - Must be able to perform standard work - Requires clean-up of work area on a daily basis - Meet and exceed safety, quality, and production standards levels. Qualifications: - Ability to lift 50 lbs. - Experience with overhead cranes a plus. - Experienced in Mig and Tig welding and related processes. - Ability to read and apply blueprint data that yields product which conforms to quality requirements.
