Machine Operator

The Machine Operator is responsible for performing the duties necessary to complete the process of changing our raw materials to the finished products, specified by our customers. Machine operators may be trained on a variety of machines including; corrugator, die cutters, labeler, specialty gluer, and flexos.  

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Learning and performing the duties of the job position assigned -- setting up and operating industrial printers and die cutters
  • Performing the housekeeping duties of your assigned work area
  • Working knowledge of plant rules, safety rules and manufacturing procedures

 

Required Skills/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Proven ability to accurately measure dimensions, using a tape measure, to the 1/16th of an inch
  • Proven ability to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, fractions and decimals)
  • Working experience independently and within a team – innate desire to be successful
  • Must have, at a minimum, basic computer skills – input into a computer production, quality, waste and work time accountability.
  • Must demonstrate good attendance including clocking in/out on time
  • Must be able to read/comprehend written and oral instructions in English
  • Must be able to read/comprehend plant rules, safety policies, and manufacturing procedures in English
  • Must be willing to consent to a drug screen, physical and background check
  • Must be willing to work overtime during the week and on Saturdays when required
  • Open availability for 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts
