Machine Operator

Adecco is in search of an Injection Mold Operator on 2nd and 3rd shift in Wilton NH. This position is temporary for 34 months unless you would like to relocate to Rochester NH with the company next year.

Injection Mold Machine Operator duties:
  • Duties and responsibilities include the safe and efficient installation and removal of molds.
  • Start up and shut down of machinery including all plant systems.
  • Purge area of previous production material. Setup and pull injection molds and auxiliary equipment.
  • Set safety settings on injection press and mold.
  • Hook up water and oil lines where necessary.
  • Install proper robot positioning and programming, where applicable.
  • Make all necessary electrical connections. Startup and inspect first piece samples.
  • Answer machine and mold alarms in a timely and effective manner. Maintain logbooks, mold installation checklists, production mold procedure checklists, and update set up sheets.
  • Accurately complete and maintain all necessary paperwork.
  • With knowledge of mold construction techniques and systems, accurately identify and communicate mold problems.
  • Keep work areas clean and assist in plant housekeeping.
  • Make process adjustments using effective root cause and analytical problem solving techniques to maintain quality and efficiency standards.
  • Provide proper documentation and general communications.
  • Proactively contribute, evaluate and document ideas for continuous improvement.
These areas can include, but are not limited to: process adjustments for improved quality and/or faster cycle times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities continued:
  • Samples newly built or acquired molds and provide feedback to Supervisor.
  • Follow startup procedure when submitting parts to Quality Control.
  • Accurately complete mold history process sheets.
  • Save and label the last shot run for documentation purposes and for review against future customer orders.
  • Perform all work according to established quality and safety standards.
  • Setup Persons will be required to supply their own tools.
  • Work closely with the Material Control Handler in coordinating necessary material requirements.
  • Notify the Floor Person when getting ready to start up a machine.
  • Responsible to participate and contribute to work teams within the organization.
  • Perform work assignments from written, verbal and visual instructions.
  • Maintain clear communications, maintain and cooperate with all company coworkers.
  • Demonstration of regular attendance and punctuality is essential. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Experience:
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in injection molding including setup and mold processing is required.
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Education in a technical field preferred.
  • The ability to speak, read and write in English, ability to read an Analog Multitest meter, demonstrated basic math skills, blue print reading, use of hand held measuring tools, is required.
  • Good problem solving and troubleshooting skills are required. PLC experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of electric and hydraulic machines, basic knowledge of mold construction, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems are required.
