Mail Processor

Adecco is assisting a local client recruit for a Mail Processor position in Burlington, VT. The Mail Processor position is a temp to hire opportunity. The responsibilities for a Mail Processor include, but are not limited to:

Sorting and distributing mail from the US Postal Service and from the organization’s interoffice system to branches and departments as well as processing outgoing mail.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Sorts and distributes US Postal Service and interoffice mail received from branches and departments.
  • Operates postage machines to weigh mail and apply the correct postage.
  • Logs inbound and outbound mail, including express mail, priority mail, certified and registered mail, overnight courier letters and packages.
  • Prepares mail deliveries for branch couriers.
  • Operates organization owned vehicles to deliver mail and supplies to other locations.
  • Responds to and resolves inquiries from internal and external customers.
  • Provides coverage for the shipping and receiving functions as needed and performs additional tasks at the request of management.
  • Adheres to compliance procedures and internal/operational risk controls in accordance with any and all applicable regulatory standards, requirements, and policies.
