Mailroom Supervisor

Adecco is currently assisting a local client in their search to fill the role of a Mail Operations Supervisor.  At least two years of previous Mail Lead or Supervisory experience required.  Must be *High Energy*! This role is located in Fredericksburg, VA

Responsibilities, Qualifications, & Details:      
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Mail Supervisor oversees the whole mail department for the client.
  • Run daily and monthly paperwork for orders as needed for management.
  • Prepare shipments and ensure the shipping person gets the jobs out and dropped on time.
  • Postage and permit accuracy.
  • Mail size and mailing specs.
  • Review work flows.
  • Variable data correct, double check lists.
  • Double check with design and mailing dept when unsure.
  • Coordinate with the post office for all mailings.
  • Be the postal contact for any job issues for mail jobs.
  • Assist the onsite staff with organizing jobs for the day.
  • Make sure mail supplies are ordered and put away properly.
 
Additional Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform the initial rough and fine sorts of incoming mail in the mail room.
  • Sort inter-office mail to be redistributed to buildings.
  • Conduct mail runs at scheduled times throughout the day.
  • Deliver packages directly to employees during mail runs.
  • Obtain signature upon delivery of package.
  • Pick up outgoing packages upon request from employees.
  • Process outgoing packages for courier pick-up and drop off.
  • Sort and meter outgoing mail.
 
Applicants for the role of Mailroom Supervisor must meet the following criteria:

  • Detail oriented and can follow directions.
  • Flexible but focused.
  • Ability to interact professionally with people at different levels, including executives.
  • Professional, neat appearance.
  • Can work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize workload.
  • Must be able to lift 50+ lbs consistently.
  • Must have basic computer skills.

* Ensure all protocols and best practices are being adhered to within client operations
* Processing incoming mail and packages including Federal Express, UPS and USPS
* Providing high level of customer care and professional attitude
* Interacting daily with clients
* Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
* Able to lift up to 25lbs as needed
* Able to complete a background check
 
Days/Hours:  Monday through Friday, hours will be between 8am and 6pm.
