Position Summary:

The Maintenance Manager has oversight responsibility for all divisions facilities and machine maintenance efforts. The position requires extensive experience in facilities maintenance and repair and hands-on background in electrical, hydraulics, welding, brazing, carpentry, and foundation design and construction methods. Position function requires ability to effectively trouble shoot, analyze maintenance related issues, and implement appropriate and cost effective solutions to identified problems. Job function includes machine ball screw certification, precision machine leveling, and laser optics leveling of milling machine axes. This position coordinates all outside contracts pertaining to facilities and/or machine maintenance as well as new construction and requires effective interface with and supervision of outside contractor personnel. The incumbent is required to coordinate the negotiation and procurement of all spare parts and other facilities maintenance items.

Reporting Relationships:

The Maintenance Manager will report to the Director of Operations and leads a small team of Maintenance Technicians at the site.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Understand, demonstrate and adhere to the company’s commitment to QUALITY and SAFETY!
Manage direct reports including strengths and weaknesses of direct reports and provide opportunities for training and cross-training in positions. Delegate, as necessary, to direct reports to accomplish goals.
Reinforce and champion the idea and culture of continuous improvement and motivate ideas for pipeline improvement projects.
Develop, implement and maintain maintenance plan and specific maintenance profiles for all CNC, conventional and profile milling machines
Coordinate all facilities and/or machine repair activities
Coordinate, direct and supervise new facilities construction activities as required to ensure conformance to negotiated contract and quality of workmanship in the finished project.
Maintain and coordinate repairs as necessary to facility utilities
Maintain repair parts and support equipment inventory and ensure adequate supply for all contingencies
Maintaining regular and punctual attendance according to shift-times or a pre-arranged work schedule.
May perform special projects or other duties, as assigned.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point); Knowledge in Microsoft Project is helpful, but not required.

Excellent negotiating and influencing skills with regard to project, contract, or customer management

Required Experience

Must have 5 or more years’ experience with industrial manufacturing machinery
Must have 2 or more years’ experience in manufacturing machinery maintenance; experience with large CNC mills preferred.
Must have 2 or more years’ experience in a supervisory role
Basic understanding of the operation of CNC Machines, GE Fanuc Controls, and other shop machinery preferred.
Experience in the Aerospace industry preferred.

Level of Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Mechanics, or related discipline is required.
