Adecco Direct Placement is currently recruiting qualified candidates for a Direct Hire Maintenance Mechanic II Job in Sacramento, CA for our client, a thriving packing manufacturer for the food and beverage industry. The Maintenance Mechanic II Job is designed to fully be a journeyman level maintenance position. This role fully participates in major maintenance repairs and projects. Our client seeks candidates who has demonstrated proficiency with using PLC programming as a troubleshooting tool.

Responsibilities for the Maintenance Mechanic II Job in Sacramento, CA include:






Operate safely and efficiently at all assignments and plant locations.





Recognize safety hazards throughout plant and take proper actions to alert employees of the hazard and take steps to minimize or eliminate the hazard





Perform routine mechanical maintenance repairs of plant equipment without supervision.





Perform mechanical maintenance repairs of plant equipment with limited supervision and direction





Actively participate in major mechanical maintenance repairs






Assist operators, maintenance employees and plant personnel in the troubleshooting of machine and process issues.










Trouble shoot and repair all components of stock prep systems and all air compressors.


Plan process mechanical maintenance projects and determine manpower/material needs.


Design and build equipment for in-plant use and modify existing equipment to meet plant needs.


Trouble shoot and repair process piping, valves, flanges, gaskets, etc. without supervision.


Fabricate piping for field installation.





roll victaulic grooves in pipe and adapt victaulic to standard flange.


Perform preventive maintenance on piping components/systems according to set schedule.


Draw out and explain the functional components and flow path of plant process water systems and stock systems.


Make repairs to the facility including floors, doors, siding, machine bases, pump bases, and machine supports.


Weld materials that are in vertical, horizontal, or overhead positions.


Plan facility and mechanical maintenance projects and determine manpower/material needs.


Design machine parts/various structures and fabricate same for in- plant use and modify existing parts/structure to meet plant needs.


Trouble shoot and repair all components of C-machines including auxiliaries with supervision.


Communicate an understanding of how C-machines are aligned.
