Maintenance Mechanic - Permanent Position

Do you have experience Repairing and Maintaining machinery and Mechanical Equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tolls, conveyor systems and production machines and equipment?   Adecco is currently looking for Maintenance Mechanics to join an amazing team at a local Client in Cleveland, OH.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

All matters listed herein are considered to be essential job functions. There may be other job functions that are not listed but may be essential for this position

  • Visually inspects and listens to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions
  • Dismantles machines and equipment to gain access to problem area
  • Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment or other problems
  • Realigns and adjust functional components and control instruments
  • Removes and replaces warn or defective parts of drive mechanism or hydraulic systems
  • Locates damaged air, liquid, hydraulic pipes or electrical wires or machine, and measures cuts, threads and installs new pipes, lines or wires
  • Sets up and operates metal working tools such as lathe, drill press or grinder to make or repair parts
  • Starts machine and equipment to test operation following repairs
  • Welds equipment and parts as needed
  • Reads and understands schematic flowcharts and technical manual
  • Must complete all required paperwork
  • Must perform preventative maintenance as required
  • Assists in ordering supplies and parts
  • Must follow and comply with all operation instructions, work rules and safety policies
  • Must follow companies GMP’s, SOP’s. and SSOP’s at all times
  • Must wear appropriate PPE at all times
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervision
  • Maintain reliable attendance and consistent work hours of, on average, forty hours per week


Qualification and Education:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must have a minimum of 1 year journeyman-level mechanical/electrical experience
  • Must be organized and detail oriented
  • Must be able to adequately and regularly demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Able to read/comprehend written and oral instruction in English
  • Must have the ability to perform basic math
  • Must be able to work weekends, varying shifts (days, evenings, nights) and be on call
  • Must have verifiable mechanical and/or electrical maintenance experience
  • Must have verifiable knowledge of common equipment operating systems.
  • Must maintain a valid forklift certification issued by the company
  • Ability to accurately record data

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, and fumes or airborne particles.  The noise level in the work environment ranges from normal noise levels to loud
  • The employee is frequently required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs., reach, climb or pull
  • Must be able to work in hot and cold climates, both indoors and outdoors
  • The employee is occasionally required to squat, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and hear
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Maintain constant mental focus and constantly be aware of surroundings.


Benefits: Client covers 100% benefit premiums such as medical, dental, vision.  Employee pays co-pay for Doctor visits. Matching 401K.

Pay:       $21.96 an hour to start

Hours:   2nd Shift: 1:00pm – 9:30pm, 3rd Shift: 9:00pm-5:30am
