Responsibilities for Maintenance Technician jobs include but are not limited to:

  • Support plant production need for daily operation, changeovers, and outbound shipments. Repairs and maintains injection & blow mold machinery and electro-mechanical equipment such as motors, pneumatic tools, hydraulics, conveyor systems, electrical devices and production machines and equipment. Uses hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and electrical testing equipment. Read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and PLC troubleshooting.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance checks on all production equipment and machinery.
  • Replaces or repairs parts on machines such as bearings, filters, wiring, valves, gauges and switches.
  • Replaces electrical parts and equipment.
  • Repairs and provide Preventative Maintenance of all plastic injection molding equipment, as well as all other auxiliary equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair both Electrical and Mechanical problems associated with Production and Facility equipment in a timely manner.
  • Install and wire industrial automation line controls and integrate with existing network, as directed/assisted by the Maintenance Manager
  • Perform repairs on electrical or electronic instruments as directed/assisted by the Maintenance Manager
  • Troubleshoot electrical control and distribution systems to include 24vac, 120vac, 277vac and 480vac • PLC troubleshooting knowledge, huge plus if you can program
  •  

     Candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered for Maintenance Technician jobs:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a maintenance within a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Ability to interpret documents such as procedure manuals, blue prints, schematics, charts, diagrams, etc.
  • Ability to use precision measuring devices including amp meters, electric meters, and hydraulic gauges
  • Basic understanding of systems, equipment and schematics
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Good troubleshooting skills
  • Basic mathematical skills used to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and use decimals and fractions
  • Ability to perform work in a mature and professional manner, demonstrate personal responsibility, and perform all assigned duties.
