Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician opening available in Mohnton, PA!  This position is a direct hire opening starting at $22-24/hr  Based on experience.TWO Openings!!   Hiring a First shift and Third shift Maintenance Technician
7am-7pm  OR  7pm-7am 
One week they work Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday
Following week Wednesday, and Thursday
Main Job Duties:

Troubleshoot scale assemblies by using mechanical and electrical expertise Demonstrate the initiative to investigate and offer improvements to our plant operation and a self-motivational drive in learning new technologies as they apply Communicate appropriately with the operators, mechanics, electricians, engineers, and supervisors Make up a bill of materials as required Service, clean, and inspect equipment periodically following established PMs (Preventative Maintenance).Safely operate mobile equipment such as, Fork Trucks, Hand Trucks, Lifts, Boom Lifts, etc. Issue work orders to follow up on needed repairs Properly lubricate packaging equipment as per the manufacturer recommended lubrication schedules Utilize problem solving techniques in interacting with other employees in resolving issues Safely perform changeovers as they apply to equipment Train new team members (Lock Out Tag Out) procedure Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed and assigned Must be willing to communicate and/or cooperate with co-worker for job and/or job duties. Must have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken Must be able to perform basic math calculations Safely rebuild case tapers for use in the packaging department. Understand reverse rotation of a 3-phase AC motor Bore and broach a sprocket and do fabrication of basic machine parts as it pertains to packaging Understand and help maintain work orders and preventative maintenance system. Make corrections and suggestions to improve the quality of the system Can provide expert knowledge and guidance to other employees in your field Read and interpret electrical schematics to be able to perform simple electrical functions such as; checking for blown fuses, checking proximity switches for proper operation, installing and replacing basic electrical components, etc. Safely use basic hand tools and power tools such as a drill press, power saw, grinder etc. Basic computer skills Understand and use SDS (Safety Data Sheet) sheets Have a basic understanding of belts, belt drives, chain drives, gear boxes, and conveyors Ability to safely cut and thread pipe using hand and power threaders Read and interpret written description or engineering drawing relative to the function performed  3-5 years of experience in similar production work environment
