Adecco Direct Placement is currently recruiting qualified candidates for a direct hire 1st Shift Maintenance Technician in Richmond, MO for our client, a leading supplier of products and technology to the thermoset polymer industry. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing real-time trouble shooting and repair along with general assembly and chemical plant improvements. We are looking for a candidate with 5+ years of recent experience working in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities for the 1st Shift Maintenance Technician role in Richmond, MO include:

Works with Management, the Plant Superintendent and Production Supervisors, and technicians to schedule and conduct necessary repairs on a prioritized basis
Work directly with Management on the development and perpetuation of the prioritized Maintenance schedule of repair, PM’s, and new installation projects
Conducts project planning including a written plan for job execution including time and cost estimates to complete the assigned task
Completes maintenance and repairs on boilers, air compressors, chillers, cooling tower fans and circulation pumps, generators, as well as respective checklists
Assists in management and development of processes and safety programs
Manages inventory reduction per departmental inventory reduction strategy
Compliance and follow through from trainings regarding RCRA, EPA, OSHA, and other company
Executes tasks and project responsibilities as outlined from Maintenance Meetings, Daily Updates, and Compliance & PM Scheduled activities and does so with independent time management that may result in a change of tasks planned for the work day. Examples, may have had PM for a gear box scheduled but had to redirect to tend to a frozen pipe or power outage. In this case immediate attention to the critical matters must be handled, but followed up in such a manner to complete the original planned activities for the day


Minimum education and practical work experience: high school diploma and/or 5 years of experience in the maintenance field or in a related area, or a suitable combination of education and relevant experience
Specialized technical/aptitude experience: minimum of 5 years of experience and demonstrated proficiency with fluid transfer pumps of hazardous chemicals, screw pipe fitting, pipe welding and/or other structural welding, 3-phase 480V electrical, motor and gearbox installation, rigging, and preventative maintenance
Ability to safely and effectively operate heavy equipment, i.e. tractors, snorkel lifts, fork lifts, bobcats, etc.
Ability to prioritize workflow and organize diverse material and ability to handle multiple, competing and changing priorities; ability to perform and problem solve effectively without direct supervision within established time limits and ongoing deadlines and communicate effectively with management on status of projects and repairs
