Maintenance Technician

Adecco is assisting an innovative local Start-UP company changing the world of recycling in the city of Vernon, CA. We currently have several job opportunities and are looking to place experienced Maintenance Technician's in the city of Vernon, CA. This is a Direct Hire opportunity that will give you valuable experience to enhance your career with a fast-growing manufacturing facility.

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN 

Key Responsibilities:  
•    Develop and advance a preventive maintenance system and implement TAG (CMMS).
•    Identify a critical and routine spare parts inventory list, along with a tracking system to ensure minimal outages of critical and routine parts.
•    Advance the parts ordering process to allow JIT and kitting tools to be implemented.
•    Develop a part locating system for defined storage space.
•    Maintain inventory records for maintenance parts; identifies suppliers prepares requisitions for procurement of material and supplies.
•    Tracks parts and supplies spending to meet R&M budget monthly.
•    Generates maintenance reports based on data from the CMMS system and other collection techniques.
•    Other projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
•    Minimum of seven (7) years manufacturing experience with five (5) years in purchasing and/or inventory management
•    Intermediate math required, high school diploma preferred.
•    Dependable, responsible and able to work at a fast pace, while also multi-tasking.  Excellent phone and verbal skills. Team player, solid work ethic and committed to maintaining the highest quality possible.
•    Intermediate computer skills, including Windows-based programs such as Microsoft Office Suite, as well as ERP and CMMS systems 
•    Experience operating a forklift and utilizing material handling equipment a plus.
•    Ability to lift, push, pull 10 lbs. on a regular basis and up to 50 lbs. on an occasional basis required.
•    Ability to wear a hard hat, steel-toed shoes and other PPE required.
•    Ability to stoop, kneel, crawl, squat, climb a ladder, bend, climb and reach on a regular basis is required.
•    Some flexibility in hours and scheduling necessary (including nights and weekends).
•    Previous experience, such as handling vendor issues and questions, researching inquiries, resolving disputes and handling escalations, a plus
•    Bilingual – the ability to communicate clearly in Spanish a plus
