Manager

Adecco Search is currently recruiting qualified candidates for a direct hire Brewing Manager Job in Jamestown, NY for our client, a growing manufacturer of quality craft beer, ciders and spirits. As the Brewery Manager, you will be a technical expert in the department. Reporting to the Director of Brewing, you will be responsible for managing the Brewing Department in the Brewery, including team leaders and brewing staff. You will manage the production schedule, ERP software, brewer training program, scheduling of staff, and document control. You may occasionally fill in in the Brew House and Cellar as needed, help with inventory and stock, and other “hats”. This is a salaried, first-shift position, Monday through Friday with an occasional weekend day needed. Relocation assistance is offered.


Responsibilities for the Brewery Manager in Jamestown, NY include:

Ensure that all brewing and cellaring activities are run safely and in accordance with SOPs
Schedule production in partnership with the Production Coordinator
Manage the Brewing Staff, including schedule for the Brew House and Cellar shifts
Directs the Brewer Training program, monitors progress, and ensures that documentation is complete and accurate
Responsible for the accurate and timely completion and archiving of all documentation in the Brewing Department
Collaborates with others across the organization to achieve shared objectives.
Manages the department in a cost-effective manner with an eye on bottom-line; Plans and prioritizes to meet company goals


Qualifications:



Minimum one-year of management/supervisory experience in a Food or Beverage manufacturing facility; Would prefer experience in a 50 BBL brewery
Minimum five years of professional brewing manufacturing experience is preferred; Or five (5) or more years of food/beverage manufacturing experience
Candidates should have some or all: experience blending/fermentation, continuous improvement/quality, safety and maintenance oversight.
Excellent understanding of safety policies and procedures
You should be able to slide a keg of beer and be comfortable in a GMP environment!
